Aao Baat Karein

A special Campaign about Child Abuse

Aao Baat Karein

Aao Baat Karein campaign was launched in April 2018, through this campaign, Parwarish Cares Foundation has been creating awareness among participants about the POCSO Act and the gravity of sexual abuse in the context of our society in a child-friendly manner. We have been able to reach 61 cities pan India and worked with schools, government agencies, corporates, NGOs, Shelter homes, etc.

Parwarish Cares Foundation has been designing and delivering empirical workshops to help adults and children understand ‘why’ there is a need to talk about child sexual abuse and sexual harassment and how to prevent it. Workshops are conducted with children and adults aimed at empowering each participant around child sexual abuse. Several myths are debunked giving them correct information from reliable sources. Sensitively designed sessions ensure meaningful and engaging dialogues for participants to understand the gravity of child sexual abuse and recognize and respond conscientiously to it.

The POCSO Act, 2012 came into force on November 14, 2012, along with the Rules framed thereafter. The Act is a comprehensive law enacted with the objective of protecting children from a slew of sexual offenses like sexual assault, sexual harassment, and pornography while safeguarding the interests of the child at every stage of the judicial process by introducing a child-friendly mechanism for reporting, recording of evidence, investigation, and speedy trial of offenses through special courts.
